Tripoli, November 8, 2026 (LANA) – Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to advance the political process toward holding elections. He described this as the path that fulfills the aspirations of the Libyan people, brings an end to transitional phases, and establishes lasting stability in the country.

This came during his meeting today, Sunday, with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Libya, Hanna Tetteh, to discuss the latest developments in the political process and the efforts being made to move the political track forward.

According to the Prime Minister’s Media Office, the meeting addressed continued support for the "4+4" small dialogue committee, the follow-up on its outcomes, and the strengthening of coordination with the UN mission to help achieve national consensus.
