Libyan-Italian Chamber of Commerce Opens Its Headquarters at Misrata Free Zone

Misrata, November 1, 2026 (LANA) – The Libyan-Italian Chamber of Commerce officially inaugurated its headquarters at the Misrata Free Zone this evening, in the presence of Chamber Chairman Nicola Cuelchi and Director General of the Misrata Free Zone Ayman Al-Darwish.

The initiative aims to establish a direct institutional communication channel connecting Italian companies and investors with available investment opportunities, while also strengthening Italy's economic presence within the free zone.

The presence of the Chamber within the free zone is expected to facilitate communication between the Libyan and Italian business communities, support Italian companies seeking to enter the Libyan market, and help explore opportunities for establishing economic, industrial, and logistics projects and partnerships.

The opening of the headquarters represents a practical step toward strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries and moving trade relations beyond the exchange of interests toward the establishment of tangible investment partnerships.
