The leadership of the Petroleum Facilities Guard rejects the closure of the Rayayna valve.

Tripoli, November 1, 2026 (LANA) – The Petroleum Facilities Guard (PFG) has expressed its complete and categorical rejection of any attempt to halt operations at oil facilities, disrupt oil and gas pipeline supplies, or encroach upon such infrastructure. The PFG affirmed that it will not permit anyone to compromise the assets and resources of the Libyan people.
This came in a statement issued on Sunday in response to the closure of the Rayayna valve—located at the foot of the mountain and connected to the Tahara field—which the PFG characterized as an act of sabotage against the public interest of the state.
The statement condemned these irresponsible actions, which have halted the flow of oil through the valve and will directly impact the national economy. The PFG leadership further stated that it holds those responsible for the closure of these oil facilities—which belong to all Libyans—legally accountable.
