Dr. Samir Ali Al-Tarman, Director General of the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture, stated that this second session represents a shift in the forum's focus from the local level of its first session to the international level. He noted that the forum serves as a platform for dialogue and the exchange of views on formulating national strategies that support the Libyan economy and enhance its ability to keep pace with regional and international changes.

He indicated that the forum's program includes five main themes, the first of which addresses geopolitical changes and their repercussions on the local and international economies. This theme will feature the participation of international experts and figures, including the Chairman of the Malaysian Advisory Council, Hassan bin Muath; the former Jordanian Minister of Labor, Dr. Maan Qatamin; the Omani writer and political analyst, Ali bin Masoud Al-Mashani; and the former French Ambassador to Libya, François Pouillet.

The second session will focus on discussing national visions and strategies, with the participation of officials and specialists in the economic, planning, oil, and banking sectors. The third session will address investment opportunities and related challenges, with the participation of investment-related institutions, including the Investment Promotion Authority, the Libyan Investment Authority, the Economic and Social Development Fund, the Capital Market Authority, and Hassan Bey Holding Group.

The fourth session will address digital transformation, with the participation of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Artificial Intelligence, the Libyan Trade Network, the General Authority for Communications and Informatics, and a number of private sector companies operating in the digital field.

The fifth session will focus on finance, banking, and insurance, with the participation of several banks, financial institutions, and insurance companies, including the Libyan Islamic Bank, the United Bank, Al-Andalus Bank, the Republic Bank, Al-Baraka Insurance Company, and the African Company for Investment Project Financing.

Al-Tarman emphasized that the forum represents an opportunity to strengthen partnerships between public institutions and the private sector, expand cooperation with international institutions and expertise, and open discussions on economic and investment policies, contributing to the development of a national vision for the future of the Libyan economy.
