Minister of State for Women's Affairs meets with British Ambassador

Tripoli, November 1, 2026 (LANA) – The Minister of State for Women's Affairs in the Government of National Unity, Randa Gharib, discussed with the United Kingdom's Ambassador to Libya, Martin Reynolds, ways to enhance joint cooperation in supporting and empowering Libyan women and expanding their opportunities for participation in various fields.

The Ministry stated on its official page that the meeting addressed prospects for cooperation in the fields of knowledge and education, particularly supporting English language learning and providing training and development opportunities. It also explored ways to enhance the economic and political empowerment of Libyan women and exchange expertise and experiences between the two countries.

The Ministry explained that the meeting comes within the framework of the Minister of State for Women's Affairs' office's efforts to expand international partnerships and strengthen cooperation with relevant entities, contributing to supporting women's issues, developing their capabilities, and enhancing their role in the development and stability process.
