Al-Trabelsi discusses security preparations for the Africa-Turkey Summit in Tripoli with a Turkish delegation

Tripoli, October 27, 2026 (LANA) – The Minister of Interior of the Government of National Unity, Major General Imad al-Trabelsi, discussed with a delegation from the Turkish government the ongoing arrangements and preparations for the upcoming Africa-Turkey Summit, scheduled to be held in the capital, Tripoli.

According to the Ministry of Interior, the meeting addressed coordination regarding the security and organizational measures necessary to secure the summit and the participating delegations, ensuring an environment conducive to the event's success.

Furthermore, the two sides emphasized the importance of strengthening joint coordination and cooperation, and intensifying efforts to finalize preparations in accordance with approved plans—all with the aim of ensuring the summit's success and demonstrating Libya’s capacity to host international meetings and events.
