Misrata, October 26, 2026 (LANA) – Stephanie Khoury, Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Political Affairs, met yesterday in Misrata with the Municipal Council to exchange views on ongoing efforts to advance a Libyan-led and Libyan-owned political process.

The mission stated on its official page that the discussions highlighted the significant role of municipalities in reflecting the priorities and concerns of local communities across Libya, as well as the necessity of ensuring effective representation for all regions within the political process.
