Dbaiba emphasizes addressing Egyptian concerns

Tripoli - October 24, 2026 - (LANA) - The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbaiba, discussed bilateral relations and coordination on issues of common interest with the head of the Egyptian General Intelligence Service, Major General Hassan Rashad, on Saturday.

This took place during a phone call, in which Rashad underscored the depth of the relationship between the two brotherly nations and a steadfast commitment to developing it across various sectors to serve their mutual interests. He also highlighted the importance of maintaining ongoing communication and coordination between the two sides, according to the Media Office of the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity.

For his part, Dbaiba affirmed the Government of National Unity’s commitment to addressing Egyptian concerns—including those pertaining to maritime borders and economic waters in the Mediterranean—through dialogue and joint coordination, in a manner that safeguards the legitimate maritime rights and interests of both brotherly nations.
