Dbeibah discusses with Al-Ashtar the consolidation of efforts to address economic and financial challenges

Tripoli, October 21, 2026 (LANA) – Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, met on Wednesday with the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tariq al-Ashtar, to discuss the latest political and economic developments in the country, as well as ways to strengthen coordination and cooperation between the two sides.

According to the Prime Minister’s Media Office, the meeting addressed the importance of unifying national efforts to tackle economic and financial challenges, and supporting measures aimed at improving the living conditions of citizens.

The two sides also discussed developments in the political process, the importance of building upon existing national understandings, and supporting efforts to conclude the transitional phases and create the appropriate conditions for holding elections.
