Tripoli, October 20, 2026 (LANA) – The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdulhamid Dbeibah, met today, Tuesday, with the Head of the Turkish National Intelligence Organization, İbrahim Kalın. The discussion focused on political and security developments in Libya, as well as ways to support stability and the ongoing political process.

According to the "Hukumatuna" (Our Government) platform, the meeting—which was also attended by National Security Advisor Ibrahim Dbeibah and Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs Walid Al-Lafi—addressed key regional developments, current issues in the area, and the challenges these pose to security and stability.

The meeting further explored the issue of irregular migration, discussing mechanisms to enhance cooperation and coordination among Libya, Turkey, Italy, and Qatar—within the framework of a "quadrilateral" dialogue. The participants emphasized intensifying joint efforts to address the challenges of migration, mitigate its security and humanitarian repercussions, and tackle its root causes.

Both sides underscored the importance of maintaining ongoing communication and consultation on shared issues, and strengthening cooperative relations between the two nations in a manner that serves their mutual interests and contributes to consolidating security and stability in Libya and the broader region.
