Al-Sifaw discusses the settlement of financial and administrative dues with representatives of teachers and trainers

Tripoli, October 19, 2026 (LANA) – The Minister of Technical and Vocational Education in the Government of National Unity, Yakhlef Al-Sifaw, met on Monday with representatives from a movement of teachers and trainers to discuss a range of demands and issues concerning the rights of personnel in the sector—most notably, outstanding financial entitlements and the associated administrative procedures.

In a statement on its official page, the Ministry noted that the meeting addressed payment arrears for 2016 contracts, examination bonuses, and financial dues for heads of educational institutions, their deputies, and supervisors. The discussion also covered the provision of health insurance for staff within the technical and vocational education sector.

The Ministry explained that this meeting is part of an ongoing effort to address the demands of teachers and trainers, explore ways to settle their outstanding dues, and overcome obstacles hindering relevant administrative processes. These efforts aim to foster job stability and support the smooth conduct of educational and training activities across institutions within the sector.
