Benghazi, October 19, 2026 (LANA) – The House of Representatives has expressed its deep appreciation for the role of teachers in building society and advancing the nation. Emphasizing the importance of the educational process and the interests of students—and to ensure that educational institutions continue to fulfill their noble mission—the House calls upon all teachers to return to their schools and classrooms to resume educational activities, urging them to avoid any disruptions that could infringe upon our children's right to education.

In a statement issued today, the House affirmed its ongoing commitment to monitoring and coordinating efforts to secure the full rights of teachers. This includes the implementation of a medical insurance service, designed to provide necessary healthcare coverage for teachers and their families, thereby alleviating their living and health-related burdens.

Regarding financial matters, the House confirmed that the scheduling of outstanding dues and financial differentials has begun. These will be disbursed in phased installments, starting in October, in accordance with an implementation mechanism that runs parallel to the completion of necessary auditing and review procedures.

The House of Representatives noted that these measures coincide with efforts to guarantee teachers' rights and integrate them into the unified salary scale, aiming to improve their professional and financial conditions and foster social justice among all employees.

The House further appealed to all educational staff to prioritize the supreme national interest and to work together to ensure the success of the academic year and the stability of the educational process.
