Tripoli, September 13, 2026 (LANA) – The Government of National Unity has directed relevant authorities to raise their readiness levels and intervene immediately to address rainwater accumulation in Tripoli. It ordered the mobilization of machinery, technical teams, and emergency and rescue units in response to the rainfall the city is experiencing this Tuesday.
The government’s directives covered the National Safety Authority, the General Company for Water and Wastewater, the Tripoli General Services Company, the Emergency Medicine and Support Center, the Ambulance and Emergency Services, and the Air Ambulance Service—each within its respective mandate. They were tasked with deploying teams to affected sites, draining water, clearing obstructions, providing ambulance and rescue services, and transporting cases as needed.
The instructions emphasized the necessity of direct coordination among the concerned entities, on-the-ground monitoring of the situation, and the submission of urgent reports regarding measures taken and requirements.
