First shipments of insulin arrive at Mitiga International Airport

Tripoli, October 11, 2026 (LANA) – The National Diabetes Authority announced the arrival of the first insulin shipments at Mitiga International Airport.

The Authority stated, via its media office, that the insulin shipments—supplied by the American company Eli Lilly—were secured in cooperation with the Medical Supply Agency to meet the needs of diabetic patients and ensure the continued availability of treatment.

The Authority noted that the remaining shipments are scheduled to arrive successively, in preparation for their urgent distribution to all centers affiliated with the National Diabetes Authority, thereby ensuring that insulin reaches all diabetic patients across the country.
