Benghazi, October 11, 2026 (LANA) – The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Al-Salihin Abdul-Nabi, met today, Sunday, in Benghazi with Presidential Council member Mousa Al-Koni.
House of Representatives Spokesperson Abdullah Blihaq stated that, at the beginning of the meeting—which was attended by Second Deputy Speaker Misbah Douma, several members of the High Council of State, and various committee chairpersons and MPs—Al-Koni congratulated the Speaker and the members of the House’s leadership on their election.
Blihaq explained that the meeting addressed the latest political and economic developments in the country across various levels. Al-Koni emphasized the importance of the House of Representatives' role in leading the upcoming phase in a manner that fosters stability and steers Libya toward safety, affirming his support for the House under its new leadership.
For his part, the Speaker of the House of Representatives stressed that the coming phase requires unity and the adoption of decisions that contribute to unifying the state's sovereign institutions, enhancing prospects for stability, and supporting the process of state-building.
