Al-Baour meets with Ugandan Minister for Foreign Affairs

Tripoli, October 10, 2026 (LANA) – Taher Al-Baour, the official in charge of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity, met on Saturday with Haruna Kasolo Kyeyune, Uganda’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Regional Cooperation. They discussed bilateral relations and the representation of the African continent on the UN Security Council.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting of the African Committee of Ten (C10) in Tripoli. It was attended by Alaa El-Din Al-Tajouri, Director of the African Affairs Department, and Akram Al-Fakkal, Chargé d'Affaires at the Libyan Embassy in Uganda.
The discussion covered bilateral cooperation between Libya and Uganda and ways to strengthen and develop it across various sectors. The two sides also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest and discussed coordination within the framework of the African Union to support joint African action and bolster efforts aimed at reforming the UN Security Council and expanding Africa's representation within it.
