Justice Minister Participates in International Justice Summit in Istanbul

Istanbul, October 10, 2026 (LANA) – Halima Ibrahim, Minister of Justice of the Government of National Unity, participated in the International Justice Summit held in Istanbul, Turkey, on October 8–9. The summit, attended by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, was held under the theme "The Future of International Justice: A Shared Responsibility for Humanity."
On the sidelines of the summit, the Minister met with Turkish Justice Minister Akın Gürlek. They discussed judicial cooperation between the two countries and ways to enhance and develop it, including the memorandum of understanding regarding the transfer of convicted persons.
The summit was attended by a large number of justice ministers and senior judicial officials from numerous countries, as well as representatives of international organizations and distinguished academics.
The summit aims to foster direct and constructive dialogue on key issues facing justice systems today, amidst challenges posed by rapid technological advancements and evolving security threats.
