Tetteh Meets with Tunisian Foreign Minister.

Tunis, 6 October 2026 (Lana) UN Special Representative of the Secretary-General, Hanna Tetteh, discussed with the Tunisian Foreign Minister, Mohamed Ali Nafti, yesterday in Tunisia the latest political developments in Libya, including the agreement reached by the Smaller Convening and the next steps in the political process.
They also discussed the impact of Libya’s divisions and instability on the Libyan people and neighboring countries, as well as the importance of supporting Libyan efforts to achieve economic, political, and security stability.
Nafti conveyed Tunisia’s continued support for the UN-facilitated political process, where Tetteh commended Tunisia’s steadfast support of the UN-facilitated process and for enabling the meetings of the Smaller Convening in Tunis.
