Takala Discusses Ways to Support and Empower Libyan Youth with Minister of Youth

Tripoli, October 4, 2026 (LANA) – President of the High Council of State, Mohamed Takala, met today, Sunday, with the Minister of Youth in the Government of National Unity, Haitham Al-Zahhaf, to discuss youth affairs, ways to support and empower young people, and enhance their participation in public life.

According to the Council’s official page, the meeting addressed the development of policies and programs targeting youth, as well as creating a suitable environment to develop their capabilities and unleash their potential, thereby strengthening their contribution to development, stability, and state-building.

Takala emphasized the importance of youth as a fundamental pillar of Libya’s present and future, stressing the need to support programs aimed at developing their capabilities and honing their skills, while opening more avenues for their participation in public life and decision-making.

For his part, the Minister of Youth reviewed the key programs and projects being implemented by the ministry to develop young people’s capabilities and expand opportunities for their participation. He praised the President of the High Council of State for his attention to youth affairs and his support for efforts aimed at empowering young people and strengthening their role in building the country’s future.
