Dbeibah Stresses the Need to Establish the Principle of Justice Through a Unified Salary Scale

Tripoli – October 4, 2026 (LANA) – Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity Abdul Hamid Dbeibah held a meeting today, Sunday, devoted to discussing a proposed unified salary scale for all sectors and state institutions.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Finance Rashid Boughofa, Minister of State for the Affairs of the Prime Minister and Cabinet Mohamed bin Ghalboun, Secretary-General of the Cabinet Adel Zwaiher, and Acting Undersecretary-General of the Ministry of Finance Abubaker Al-Jaffal.
According to the media office of the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Dbeibah stressed during the meeting the need to establish the principle of social justice and achieve fairness among state employees by preparing a unified salary scale that addresses the existing disparities between sectors and takes into account the nature of jobs and responsibilities, thereby ensuring a fair distribution of public financial resources.
The meeting also examined the financial and technical aspects of the proposal, as well as the need to develop a balanced approach that improves the conditions of workers across various sectors while maintaining the state's financial sustainability, ultimately leading to a fairer and more equitable salary system.
