Al-Baour discusses cooperation relations between Libya and Chad.

El Alamein 4 October 2026 (Lana) GNU-Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour, met yesterday with Ahmed Kougouri, Minister of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Chadians Abroad of the Republic of Chad, to discuss bilateral relations between Libya and Chad and ways to strengthen them and develop areas of joint cooperation to serve the mutual interests of the two countries and their brotherly peoples, on the sidelines of his participation in the Al-Alamein–Africa Forum.
The two sides also discussed a number of regional and international issues of common interest and developments across the African continent, while stressing the importance of continuing consultations and coordination within the framework of the African Union and coordinating positions on priority issues and files at multilateral international forums, according to the Foreign Ministry.
They emphasized the importance of continuing communication and coordination between the relevant authorities in the two countries, in a way that contributes to supporting cooperative relations and strengthening joint African action.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Mohamed Adam Lino, Libya’s Ambassador to Ethiopia; Ambassador Mohamed Abdel Karim Hanno, Ambassador of Chad to Egypt; and Mohamed Issa Zakaria, Secretary-General of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The forum’s activities will continue for three days, with the participation of around 1,500 officials, decision-makers, business leaders, investors, representatives of financial institutions, and business-sector representatives from various African countries.
