Tripoli, September 30, 2026 (LANA) – The Head of the Administrative Control Authority, Abdullah Qaderbouh, met today, Wednesday, with the Chairman of the Management Committee of the Libyan Capital Market Authority, Osama Al-Salabi. They discussed various matters related to oversight operations and explored avenues for coordination between the two parties.
According to the Administrative Control Authority, the meeting was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Capital Market Authority’s Management Committee, Mahmoud Bin Taher, and the Head of the Authority’s Inspection Department, Mohamed Al-Sharqawi.
The meeting addressed the regulatory and supervisory mandates of the Libyan Capital Market Authority, its role in overseeing financial markets as well as non-banking financial instruments and activities, and the monitoring of entities operating in this sector.
Discussions also focused on ways to enhance compliance with governing legislation and regulations, thereby supporting principles of transparency, disclosure, and governance, while ensuring the protection of investors and market participants.
Furthermore, the meeting covered aspects related to inspection and oversight in the financial markets sector. Emphasis was placed on the importance of developing supervisory mechanisms and exchanging relevant information and expertise to boost performance efficiency, identify risks associated with non-banking financial and investment activities, and address them within established legal and regulatory frameworks.
