Dbeibah receives notables and elders of the Warfalla tribe to discuss the region's situation and needs.

Tripoli, September 30, 2026 (LANA) – Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdulhamid Dbeibah, received a delegation today, Wednesday, comprising notables and elders of the Warfalla tribe, mayors and members of municipal councils, and representatives of social and youth groups from the municipalities of Bani Walid, Tininay, and Al-Mardoum.

The meeting was attended by several government ministers, heads of executive agencies, and public companies to discuss the region's situation and needs, and to follow up on service and development files.

During the meeting—as reported by the "Hukumatuna" platform—Dbeibah emphasized the importance of Bani Walid and its people, as well as the role of the Warfalla community within state institutions. He stressed the importance of maintaining communication with social and local stakeholders, listening to citizens' priorities, monitoring ongoing projects, and addressing challenges hindering their implementation.

The Prime Minister added that the Administrative Centers Development Agency is overseeing 49 projects in Bani Walid—21 completed and 28 currently under execution—alongside 18 projects in the education sector that include over 250 new classrooms. Meanwhile, the completion rate for maintenance and development works has reached 94% for the Bani Walid Health Center and 85% for the Bani Walid Hospital.

He further noted that approximately 39.4 million dinars have been allocated for local development in the municipalities of Bani Walid, Tininay, and Al-Mardoum, in addition to 34 direct projects under the Ministry of Local Government valued at over 110 million dinars. He underscored the necessity of monitoring these projects, accelerating their completion, and resolving any obstacles facing their implementation. For their part, and according to the platform, notables and elders from the Warfalla tribe affirmed their support for the Government of National Unity’s efforts to consolidate peace and stability and preserve the country's unity. They also emphasized the importance of continuing to strengthen social cohesion and meet citizens' needs, highlighting the role of social components in supporting stability and prioritizing the national interest.
