The Civil Service of the Government of National Unity signs a memorandum of cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme

Tripoli, September 30, 2026 (LANA) – The Minister of Civil Service in the Government of National Unity, Abdel-Moneim Ibrahim Saleh, signed a cooperation memorandum with the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Libya, Sophie Kemkhadze, to enhance institutional cooperation. The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from the Department of Organizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

According to the Ministry, this memorandum aims to strengthen institutional cooperation and partnership with the UNDP, while opening broader avenues to leverage international expertise and best practices in the fields of public administration and civil service.

The memorandum covers support for civil service development, capacity building, human resource development, and digital transformation. These initiatives align with the Ministry of Civil Service’s priorities and its efforts to enhance the efficiency of public institutions and improve institutional performance.

Both parties emphasized the importance of continued coordination and cooperation to achieve shared goals and support the development of Libya’s civil service system.
