The Head of the Communications Authority discusses enhancing bilateral cooperation and investment opportunities with the British Ambassador.

Tripoli, September 30, 2026 (LANA) – The Head of the General Authority for Communications and Informatics, Abdul-Basit Salem Al-Baour, met on Wednesday with the British Ambassador to Libya, Martin Reynolds, to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation in the fields of telecommunications and information technology, as well as opening investment opportunities within the Libyan telecommunications sector.

The meeting, held at the Authority’s headquarters in Tripoli, addressed opportunities for exchanging expertise and leveraging the British experience in developing the telecommunications sector and supporting digital transformation. It also explored avenues for cooperation between institutions and companies in both countries to contribute to infrastructure development and service quality improvement.

Furthermore, the meeting covered ways to encourage British investments and explore partnerships that support sector modernization and the transfer of knowledge and technology, in alignment with national priorities for telecommunications and information technology.
