Tripoli, September 30, 2026 (LANA) – A coordination meeting held in the Mizdah Municipality discussed mechanisms for assessing and monitoring damage caused by the flash floods that swept through the municipalities of Mizdah, Al-Shaqiqah, and Nesma, as well as reviewing the necessary actions and recommendations to address the aftermath.
The meeting was attended by the Mayor of Mizdah Municipality, an advisor from the Ministry of Local Government (Miftah Abeid), members from the Al-Shaqiqah and Nesma municipalities, and the heads of the crisis committees for the Mizdah and Al-Shaqiqah municipalities.
According to the Mizdah Municipality’s official page on Wednesday, participants discussed the mechanism for surveying and tracking the damage left by the floods across the three municipalities, as well as the procedures and work required to address the impact, aiming to manage the situation in line with the proposed recommendations.
This meeting is part of the coordination efforts between local authorities and relevant bodies to monitor the situation resulting from the floods and to identify the necessary needs and measures regarding the recorded damage.
