Libya-Ethiopia Experts’ Meeting Concludes with Signing of Cooperation Agreement.

Tripoli, 30 September 2026 (Lana) Experts from Libya and the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia approved and signed the minutes of their second meeting yesterday at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, as part of efforts to strengthen partnership and cooperation between the two countries.

The Libyan side was represented by Ambassador Ashraf Mohammed Al-Taeb, Director of the International Cooperation Department at the Foreign Ministry, while the Ethiopian side was represented by Ambassador Zerihun Abebe Yigezaw, Director-General for African Affairs at the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The meeting followed talks held by experts from both countries in Tripoli last Monday, where the two sides reviewed and discussed the provisions of the draft minutes before approving and signing it following bilateral discussions.

The minutes covered several areas of mutual interest, including political, security, consular and judicial affairs, migration and expatriates, as well as economic and investment cooperation, social affairs and air transport.

The discussions and signing ceremony were attended by the Directors of the African Affairs Department, General Protocol Department, Consular Affairs Department, and Migration and Expatriates Department at the Foreign Ministry.
