MOF discusses developing bilateral relations with African Ambassadors.

Tripoli, 30 September 2026 (Lana) Minister of State for African Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Fathallah Al-Zani, stressed the importance of continuing communication and coordination between the Ministry and African diplomatic missions accredited to Libya, and enhancing the exchange of visits and expertise in a way that contributes to developing Libyan-African relations and expanding areas of joint cooperation.

This came during Al-Zani’s meeting in Tripoli yesterday with a number of ambassadors of African countries accredited to Libya, in the presence of Director of the Ministry’s African Affairs Department, Alaa Al-Din Al-Tajouri.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Dean of the African Diplomatic Corps, Ambilo Ambongo Joule; Ambassador of Niger, Amadou Mohammed Othman; Ambassador of Ghana, Mark Michael Entsi; Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea, Massa Kaba; Ambassador of Mali, Mouloud Ould Mohamed; and Ambassador of Chad, Taher Assou Youssef.

According to the official page of the Ministry, the meeting discussed bilateral relations between Libya and the participating African countries, as well as ways to strengthen and develop them in various areas, in a manner that serves common interests and supports cooperation between the two sides.

The participants also discussed mechanisms for coordination and cooperation to strengthen Libya’s role in supporting joint African action, and to promote broader prospects for cooperation and the exchange of expertise and visits during the coming period.
