Tripoli, September 29, 2026 (LANA) – Taher Al-Baour, the official in charge of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity, met on Tuesday with Tamer El-Hefny, Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Libya. They discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and develop areas of joint cooperation between the two countries.

The Ministry stated on its official page that the meeting took place at the Ministry’s headquarters and reviewed Libyan-Egyptian relations, as well as ways to bolster them to serve the mutual interests of both countries and their brotherly peoples.

The meeting also addressed issues of common interest at both regional and international levels, and explored mechanisms to enhance coordination and consultation between the two sides regarding shared dossiers.

Emphasis was placed on the importance of continued communication and coordination between Libya and Egypt to support and develop bilateral relations and enhance cooperation across various fields.
