Al-Zidani Discusses Cooperation with Academic and Professional Institutions in Planning and Development

Tripoli – September 27, 2026 (LANA) – Libya’s Minister of Planning in the Government of National Unity, Mohammed Youssef Al-Zidani, met on Sunday, September 27, with the Director General of the Institute of Planning and the Dean of the College of Engineering Project Management, who also serves as Chairman of the First International Conference on Engineering Project Management, scheduled to be held in Tripoli in November 2026.

The meeting focused on ways to strengthen cooperation and partnerships with academic and professional institutions in the fields of planning, development, and project management.

According to the Ministry of Planning of the Government of National Unity, the First International Conference on Engineering Project Management will be held under the theme: “An Integrated Vision for Sustainable Development and Reconstruction in the Oil and Gas, Construction, and Services Sectors.” The conference aims to strengthen integration between planning, implementation, and project management, while supporting sustainable development and reconstruction efforts in Libya.

Al-Zidani stressed the importance of supporting scientific and professional events that connect academic knowledge with practical applications, as well as strengthening cooperation between the Institute of Planning and academic and professional institutions. He noted that such cooperation contributes to the exchange of expertise and the development of practices in the fields of planning and project management.

The ministry added that its participation, along with the Institute of Planning, in the conference comes within the framework of strengthening institutional and scientific partnerships and benefiting from specialized expertise in ways that support planning, development, and reconstruction efforts in Libya.
