Takala Stresses the Importance of Benefiting from Japanese Expertise in Development and Reconstruction

Tripoli – September 27, 2026 (LANA) – On Sunday, September 27, President of the High Council of State, Mohammed Takala, met with Japan’s Ambassador to Libya, Shimore Isuro, to review bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to further develop them in various fields.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest political developments in Libya and the anticipated role of friendly countries in supporting efforts to achieve lasting stability, according to the High Council of State.

Takala stressed the importance of benefiting from Japanese expertise in the fields of development and reconstruction, as well as strengthening economic cooperation and increasing official visits in a manner that serves the shared interests of the two countries.

For his part, the Japanese ambassador expressed his country’s commitment to supporting Libya’s path toward stability, affirming the continuation of constructive communication and cooperation with all Libyan parties in support of development and peace efforts.
