Restarting the initial refining units at the Zawiya refinery and commencing production operations

Tripoli – September 27, 2026 (LANA) – The National Oil Corporation (NOC) restarted the initial refining units at the Zawiya refinery today, Sunday, following the reopening of Valve 7 and the resumption of crude oil pumping via the main pipeline (Sharara-Zawiya) to the refinery’s Akakus tank farm.
The Corporation stated that refined petroleum products are expected to be on the refinery's production line starting tomorrow morning, Monday, and will subsequently reach supply stations and power plant operations centers through standard distribution channels.
