NOC Chairman Urges All Parties to Keep the Oil Sector and Facilities Out of Disputes.

Tripoli, 27 September 2026 (Lana) Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Massoud Suleiman, called on all parties to prioritize the national interest and keep the oil sector and its facilities away from any disputes or disagreements that could affect the uninterrupted continuation of production and export operations.

Suleiman said in a post on his official Facebook page, following the announcement of the reopening of Valve No. (7), located on the main crude oil pipeline linking the Sharara field to Zawiya Port, and the resumption of crude oil flows, that oil is the main source of the state’s revenue and that maintaining its stability and continuity is a shared national responsibility.

He also affirmed that the NOC will continue to fulfill its technical and professional responsibilities and work to ensure production stability, protect the Libyan people’s resources, and support the national economy.

He noted that the reopening of Valve No. (7) and the resumption of crude oil flows will pave the way for operations and production rates to gradually return to their normal levels.

In his post, the NOC Chairman expressed his thanks and appreciation to everyone who contributed to resolving the situation and reopening the valve, as well as to workers at various oil sites who continue to perform their duties with responsibility and commitment under all circumstances.
