Al-Namroush discusses enhancing cooperation and military training with the Turkish ambassador

Tripoli, September 23, 2026 (LANA) – The Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, General Dr. Salah al-Din al-Namroush, received the Turkish Ambassador to Libya, Güven Begeç, to discuss ways to enhance military cooperation and coordination between the two countries, as well as to develop training and qualification programs and boost the proficiency of military personnel.
The meeting addressed several issues of mutual interest and explored prospects for expanding cooperation and training programs, as well as leveraging mutual expertise and experience to bolster capabilities and enhance readiness and efficiency.
Both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining communication and coordination, and of strengthening cooperative ties between Libya and Turkey in military areas of mutual interest.
