Al-Baour and Hungarian Foreign Minister Discuss Bilateral Relations and Regional and International Issues of Common Interest

Tripoli, 23 September 2026 (LANA) — Taher Al-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met today, Wednesday, with Anita Orban, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, being held in New York.

The meeting addressed bilateral relations between the State of Libya and Hungary, as well as ways to strengthen and develop them in a manner that serves the shared interests of both countries. The two sides also discussed prospects for expanding areas of bilateral cooperation and enhancing coordination and consultation between them.

The two sides exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest and affirmed the importance of maintaining communication and coordination in a way that contributes to supporting and further developing Libyan-Hungarian relations.
