Tripoli, September 22, 2026 (LANA) – The Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Dr. Salah al-Din al-Namroush, met in Tripoli with the Chief of Staff of the Tunisian Army, Lieutenant General Mohamed al-Ghul, and his accompanying delegation to discuss ways to enhance military cooperation and coordination between the two countries.
The meeting was attended by a number of heads and directors of departments and offices, as well as officers from the General Staff of the Libyan Army.
The meeting addressed ways to strengthen military cooperation and coordination between the two countries and discussed several issues of mutual interest, primarily training and the exchange of expertise, counterterrorism, and coordination in securing and protecting the shared borders.
According to the General Staff, both sides emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation, coordination, and the exchange of expertise, which contributes to enhancing capabilities, raising the level of readiness, and addressing shared security challenges.
