Discussion on Benefiting from Czech Expertise in Healthcare and the Development of Health Institutions

Tripoli – September 20, 2026 (LANA) – Dr. Fadwa Al-Faidi, Chairwoman of the Health Institutions Accreditation and Monitoring Authority, discussed with the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Libya, Richard Kaldtchek, on Sunday ways to strengthen cooperation between Libya and the Czech Republic in areas related to the healthcare sector.
The meeting addressed a number of topics related to learning about the healthcare system in the Czech Republic and the experience of Czech health institutions in implementing quality and accreditation standards. The two sides also discussed prospects for cooperation and coordination with corresponding authorities and institutions in the Czech Republic.
They also discussed the possibility of benefiting from Czech experiences and expertise in the areas of healthcare quality, health accreditation, and the development of standards for health institutions, in a way that supports the Authority’s efforts to improve the quality of healthcare services in Libya.
Both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining communication and opening new avenues for institutional cooperation in a manner that contributes to the development of the healthcare sector and strengthens quality and accreditation processes within Libyan health institutions.
