18th Edition of the Libya International Healthcare Forum and Exhibition Opens in Tripoli

Tripoli, September 15, 2026 (LANA) – Minister of Health Dr. Mohamed Al-Ghouj, accompanied by the Minister of State for Prime Minister and Cabinet Affairs Mohamed Bin Ghalboun, inaugurated the 18th edition of the Libya International Healthcare Forum and Exhibition in Tripoli yesterday, Monday. Held under the theme "Sustainable Healthcare and Healing," the event was attended by the Minister of Civil Service, various officials, heads of health institutions, and representatives from local and international companies and organizations.

In his opening remarks, the Minister of Health emphasized the forum's importance in strengthening public-private partnerships and expanding cooperation and the exchange of expertise. He noted that these efforts support the development of the healthcare system and enhance the quality of services provided to citizens.

Al-Ghouj stated that building a more efficient and sustainable health system requires investing in the national workforce, developing healthcare infrastructure, localizing medical services, and leveraging digital transformation and modern technologies to improve the quality of care. He explained that the forum serves as a platform bringing together health institutions, national and international experts, and specialized companies to showcase the latest healthcare technologies, solutions, and innovations, as well as to exchange experiences that support the development of Libya's health sector.

The forum’s activities will span three days and feature a scientific program comprising specialized lectures, workshops, and panel discussions. Additionally, an exhibition will showcase the latest healthcare products, technologies, and solutions, with the participation of entities and companies from Libya and several other countries.

The organization of this forum aligns with the Ministry of Health's efforts to foster health cooperation and partnerships and to support the development of the health system, ultimately contributing to the creation of a more efficient and sustainable healthcare framework.
