The Foreign Ministry of the Government of National Unity condemns the Houthi group's targeting of several areas in Saudi Arabia

Tripoli, September 8, 2026 (LANA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity condemned the attacks launched by the Houthi group on several areas in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In a statement issued today, Tuesday, the Ministry expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the Houthi attacks on several areas in Saudi Arabia, which targeted civilian and economic facilities and resulted in injuries to 73 civilians, including women and children.
The Ministry reiterated Libya's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to protect its territory, the safety of its citizens and residents, and to preserve its resources.
The Ministry emphasized its categorical rejection of all forms of violence, noting that targeting civilian facilities and endangering civilian lives constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, and represents a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of Saudi Arabia.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity also reiterated its support for all international efforts aimed at de-escalation and strengthening security and stability in the region.
