Khoury discusses with Libyan parties the latest economic, security and political developments in Libya

Tripoli, September 8, 2026 (LANA) – The Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Political Affairs, Stephanie Khoury, met with the Libyan Parties Coordination Committee to discuss the latest economic, security, and political developments in Libya.
According to the UN mission, the meeting addressed the importance of a comprehensive political process leading to national elections.
The UN mission also stated that the two sides agreed to continue the dialogue to achieve this goal, and that the meeting also touched upon the agreement reached at the mini-summit.
