Al-Tarabulsi participates in the Global Cooperation and Public Security Forum in China

Lianyungang, September 8, 2026 (LANA) – The Minister of Interior of the Government of National Unity, Emad Mustafa Al-Tarabulsi, participated today, Tuesday, in the Lianyungang 2026 Global Cooperation and Public Security Forum, hosted by the city of Lianyungang, People's Republic of China, from September 8 to 10, at the official invitation of the Chinese Minister of Public Security.
The Ministry stated on its official page that the forum is discussing ways to enhance international cooperation between security agencies and law enforcement bodies, and to coordinate efforts to confront common security threats, primarily terrorism and transnational organized crime, with the participation of delegations from more than 147 countries.
It explained that the forum's work addresses mechanisms for exchanging information and expertise, assessing emerging security risks, and strengthening cooperation in the field of cybersecurity, protecting digital infrastructure, and combating cybercrime and threats arising from the rapid development of modern technologies.
The forum sessions addressed a number of security issues of common interest, including combating drugs and related crimes, immigration and border management, employing the latest technologies and equipment in security work, developing international police education and training programs, and enhancing tourism security and international security services.
The forum also highlighted the challenges associated with terrorist and criminal groups exploiting modern technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, cryptocurrencies, and the dark web, and explored ways to develop security capabilities and improve the efficiency of law enforcement agencies in dealing with these threats.
The forum's activities brought together senior law enforcement officials, representatives of international organizations, and experts and academics specializing in security fields. The forum served as an international platform for exchanging experiences and expertise and strengthening security coordination and cooperation among participating countries.
