Al-Harouj Oil Operations successfully put well B79A at Amal Field into production.

Tripoli, 6 September 2026 (Lana) The National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced the successful drilling and commissioning of replacement well (B79A) by Al-Harouj Oil Operations at the Amal Oil Field, and its connection to the production line, with production reaching nearly 2,000 barrels of crude oil per day and a water cut of no more than 4 percent.

The NOC explained that bringing the well into production is part of its approved 2026 plan, which includes drilling six wells aimed at supporting production capacity and increasing production rates.

The results of technical flow tests conducted using a (Test Separator) demonstrated the well’s efficiency and its achievement of the targeted production rate, in addition to the low percentage of water accompanying production, indicating the quality of the technical execution and the efforts made by the company’s engineering and technical teams.

On this occasion, NOC Chairman Masoud Suleiman congratulated the Management Committee and employees of Al-Harouj Oil Operations, commending their efforts in completing the drilling, commissioning, and connection of the well and bringing it into production.

Suleiman emphasized the importance of continuing these efforts to support the NOC’s plan to increase production rates and develop the oil and gas sector, as well as enhancing its ability to achieve its operational targets during the coming period.
