Tripoli, September 2, 2026 (LANA) – Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdulhamid Dbeibah, met today, Wednesday, with the Chargé d'Affaires of the Saudi Embassy in Libya, Abdullah bin Dakhilallah Al-Salmi, to discuss ways to develop bilateral relations and expand cooperation between the two countries in a manner that serves their mutual interests.

During the meeting, Dbeibah emphasized the importance of strengthening the economic partnership and providing a suitable environment for Saudi companies to capitalize on opportunities in the Libyan market. This, he stated, would contribute to supporting investment and revitalizing cooperation between the two countries, according to the government's media office.

For his part, the Chargé d'Affaires noted the interest of several major Saudi companies in entering the Libyan market. He also discussed arrangements for meetings between Saudi and Libyan companies and relevant authorities to explore cooperation opportunities and establish partnerships in various sectors.
