Al-Abed meets with Officials from North Zawiya Municipality

Tripoli, August 27, 2026 (LANA) – Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation, Engineer Ali Al-Abed Al-Rida, discussed with officials from North Zawiya Municipality the most pressing needs and priority issues in the fields of employment, training, and rehabilitation.

The meeting, held on the sidelines of the Minister's field visit to the municipality yesterday, addressed several proposals, including training job seekers, implementing vocational and professional training programs that meet labor market needs, and establishing and activating training and rehabilitation centers within the municipality.

The meeting also discussed the necessary arrangements for opening a Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation office within the municipality, which will bring the Ministry's services closer to citizens and facilitate their access to them.

Al-Abed affirmed the Ministry's readiness to work on and follow up on the issues raised, thereby enhancing opportunities for young people and supporting the municipality's efforts in the areas of employment, training, and rehabilitation.

The Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation explained that this visit comes within the framework of its keenness to enhance cooperation with municipalities, to learn about their needs, and to work on turning them into practical steps and programs that serve citizens and support local development.
