Tripoli, August 26, 2026 (LANA) – The General Electricity Company announced the temporary restoration of power to the Souq Al-Jum'ah area and its surroundings, following continuous efforts by the company's engineers and technicians until the early morning hours.
In a post on its official page today, Wednesday, the company explained that technical teams are continuing their work to replace the damaged transformer and cells, in preparation for restoring the station to its normal operation and ensuring the continuity of electricity supply to residents.
The company documented, with photographs, some of the work carried out by the engineers and technicians during the repair operations and the restoration of power.
This comes after a visit by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Electricity Company to the Souq al-Jum'a Municipal Council, in the presence of the mayor, members of the municipal council, the head of the municipal office, members of the Souq al-Jum'a Social Council and the four surrounding districts, and youth from the Souq al-Jum'a movement, along with a number of directors of departments and offices within the municipality. The purpose of the visit was to follow up on the problems facing the municipality's residents in the electricity sector and to discuss solutions to improve service levels and address concerns related to load shedding.
