Tripoli, 26 August 2026 (Lana)—U.S. Senior Advisor for Arab and African Affairs Massad Boulos expressed his country’s strong support for the unified budget agreement as a means of strengthening the Central Bank of Libya's ability to safeguard Libya's financial stability and protect the purchasing power of the Libyan people.
“As a critical technocratic institution, Libya's Central Bank plays a vital role in the country's economic stability,” Boulos said in a tweet.
“The United States remains committed to supporting Libyan efforts to unify economic, military, and political institutions and to create the conditions for lasting stability, prosperity, and peace in Libya,” he added.
