Tripoli, 26 August 2026 (Lana)—UN Special Representative of the Secretary-General, Hanna Tetteh, discussed with EU Ambassador to Libya, Nicola Orlando, recent political developments concerning the UN-facilitated roadmap and political process.

According to the UNSMIL, Tetteh discussed with Orlando, in a farewell meeting, the importance of broader consensus and international support for advancing a Libyan-led path toward elections and stability.

Tetteh thanked Ambassador Orlando for his partnership and constructive engagement throughout his tenure in Libya.
