Tripoli, August 25, 2026 (LANA) – The Tebyan platform denied the veracity of news circulating on some social media platforms regarding the Government of National Unity's responsibility for handing over a wanted individual to Egypt. This denial came after verifying the information and contacting relevant government authorities, as well as entities operating under its legitimacy, who confirmed the inaccuracy of the circulating reports.

The platform called on media outlets and social media users to exercise accuracy and obtain information from official sources, and to avoid being swayed by unreliable news or rumors that could cause confusion and mislead public opinion.
