Tripoli, August 25, 2026 (LANA) – German Ambassador to Libya, Arvid Enders, confirmed that his meeting yesterday, Monday, with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Salem al-Zadma, addressed the challenges facing communities in the Fezzan region and ways to reach consensus on the pillars of unity and the elements of decentralization.
Enders said in a tweet published today, Tuesday, that the meeting discussed ways to strengthen decentralization in a manner that contributes to improving living conditions and expanding opportunities available to the residents of southern Libya.
He added that the meeting included an exchange of views on the challenges facing Fezzan communities and ways to reach a consensus that serves stability and development in the region.
