Al-Dbeibah Issues Decision Declaring Tuesday, August 25, a Public Holiday on the Occasion of the Prophet’s Birthday

Tripoli, August 23, 2026 (LANA) – Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdulhamid Al-Dbeibah, issued a decision today, Sunday, declaring Tuesday, August 25, a public holiday on the occasion of the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday (Mawlid al-Nabawi al-Sharif).
According to the decision, institutions and facilities providing humanitarian and security services are exempt from the holiday, while ensuring that employees working in these facilities retain their right to compensation for working on this day in accordance with the law.
